Policy Workshops

The policy workshops were a key tool of the conference to achieve its central objective: to develop, sharpen and  coordinate NGO strategies in the negotiations towards COP15.

The 92-Group had asked the working groups in the Climate Action Network as well as some other actors to organize policy workshops at the conference. The workshops being planned, had the following issues: Mitigation, Adaptation, Technology, Financing, and Cross cutting issues.

The ambition was that the policy workshops would bring the NGO policy process considerably forward and produce outcomes that could gain broad support in the international NGO community. They were expected to produce concrete outcomes that could be fed into the policy process towards COP15.
